Challenge
We for years have helped educate the public about the importance of eating more fruits and veggies. These campaigns stressed how fruits and veggies were nutritious, convenient, tasty and affordable. Starting in 2009, real "Champion Moms" from around the state have told their success stories to inspire other families to eat more fruits and veggies.
We used 30-second TV spots in English and Spanish, along with posters, billboards, door hangers, grocery stores dairy aisle door clings, and even recipe cards to grab the key targets and drive them to visit www.EatWellBeWell.org or call a toll free number.
Results
The 2010 campaign generated about 5,200 website visits per month. Post-campaign research showed the target audience found the "Fruits & Veggies" advertising likable, educational, and easy to understand. And 77% also said the campaign positively influenced their behavior.
