Moses Anshell is a full-service national marketing agency. The agency opened its doors in downtown Phoenix in 1982 and has been winning awards, turning heads, changing perceptions and having fun ever since.
The agency includes several departments: Creative, Strategy and Research, Media and Consumer Engagement, Interactive/Digital, Public Relations, Client Services, and Video Production. Moses Anshell has a national reputation for its work; business has taken the agency from Seattle to Mexico, from Los Angeles to the Carolinas to New York. Moses Anshell also is well known for its culture, from the indoor basketball court to dogs roaming the halls, from video games throughout the building to the weekly band practice at closing time.
Moses Anshell routinely wins local, regional and national industry awards, including ADDY, CLIO, TELLY, PRSA Copper Anvil, and more. In 2008, the agency was recognized as one of the "Best Places to Work" by Phoenix Magazine. Moses Anshell was named the top advertising agency (20 or more employees) in the 2010 "Best of Arizona" poll conducted by Ranking Arizona Magazine - the largest business opinion poll in Arizona. Louie has been profiled by Fast Company and the Art Director's Club of New York, and the agency was named one of the top 20 creative shops in the country by Creativity Magazine.

Download Photos of JosAs the driving force behind Moses Anshell's business side, Jos directs the agency's management and provides his knowledge and experience in market research, strategic planning and financial management. These skills have guided the agency's growth and success for three decades. Prior to teaming with Louie Moses in 1982, Jos gained extensive client and agency experience in marketing, management and finance working for such companies as Lever Brothers, Columbia Records, Bristol Corporation and Fairmont Foods. Jos has a bachelor's in Communication from the University of Maryland College Park and a master's in Marketing from Northwestern University.

He is the executive creative director and president, has six prestigious Clio awards and is a member of the Art Director's Club of New York. Louie has created or directed virtually every Moses Anshell creative campaign. He is an influential part of not only the advertising campaigns but also the quality of work that defines Moses Anshell. Louie's previous experience is with such companies as Ketchum, Bozell & Jacobs, and Cramer-Krasselt.
FUN FACTS
- 20 West Jackson Street, Moses Anshell's home, was once a plumbing supply warehouse.
- Moses Anshell moved into 20 West Jackson Street in 2001.
- Louie is the only person in Arizona to win the prestigious CLIO award (he has six!).
- Louie plays in the Phoenix band Random Karma, which has opened for Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, The Gin Blossoms, Cowboy Mouth and the Flaming Lips.
- Jos always wanted to be a Bee Gee.
- Louie can juggle-but not when it comes to his food, he doesn't like the syrup on his pancakes to ever touch the eggs or bacon.
- Louie helped Steven Drozd, drummer for the Flaming Lips, put on his orange oven mitts before his live concert in Phoenix.
- Jos was a vocal major in college at a Methodist men's college in VA.
- Louie has never "officially" met Yoko Ono, but he once gave her a dirty look from across the room. He swears that she felt it.
- Only Louie could stand outside Fred Segal's in L.A. talking to Ringo Starr about women's shoes.
- Jos is the West Coast champion of the Shazam App.
